Guns are rare in Japan, yet suicide is the #1 cause of death there for people under 30. Perhaps guns aren't the real problem when it comes to suicide? Some liberal/media types would seem to spend most of their waking hours trying to think of new methods to reduce other people's freedoms.

If you're not a criminal, why should you worry about being wiretapped, surveillance, etc etc? If you're not a criminal, you shouldn't worry about anything the government does, right?

You're right - if people want to substantially reduce American's access to guns, the only constitutional method is to amend it. The process is do-able, so get to it and quit trying to make the document meaningless.

The NRA, gun dealers, and firearms industry would like to thank Obama for his statement, and for being their #1 sales person. (Honorable mention to Feinstein & Biden.) Keep it up and there will soon be an AR-15 in private hands for every man, woman, and child in the US.
